Job description
Tulip Tech is a Dutch manufacturer of high-performance batteries for drones. Its technology enables UAVs to fly 30–100% longer than with standard batteries and is already used by Ukrainian military units and leading UAV companies. The company is rapidly scaling its operations in Ukraine, the Netherlands, across Europe, and the United States, with a mission to strengthen European security and support Ukraine's fight for independence.
Why this role matters:
As Tulip Tech continues to grow in Ukraine, we are looking to strengthen our commercial team with multiple Technical Account Managers who can combine technical understanding with strong relationship-building skills.
Our customers include UAV manufacturers, defense companies and military units. They need someone who can understand their technical challenges, speak their language and at the same time develop the relationship commercially.
As Technical Account Manager, you will work directly with customers to understand their UAV platforms, operational requirements and challenges, and identify how Tulip Tech's battery technology can support them.
This is not a traditional sales role. We are looking for people who are comfortable diving into technical topics while also enjoying the commercial side of the business: building relationships, developing partnerships and turning customer needs into opportunities.
You will be part of the commercial team in Ukraine and work closely with engineering, product and commercial colleagues in Ukraine, Netherlands and the US. As our customers increasingly operate across multiple regions, you will also help connect them with Tulip Tech teams internationally and ensure we support them consistently as they grow.
What you will achieve:
Build and develop strong relationships with UAV manufacturers, defense companies, military units and other strategic customers in Ukraine.
Understand customers' technical requirements, UAV platforms and operational challenges and identify the most suitable Tulip Tech battery solutions.
Develop commercial opportunities within existing and new accounts, from initial conversations and technical discussions through testing, proposals, negotiation and closing.
Build long-term partnerships with customers rather than focusing on transactional sales, becoming a trusted technical and commercial point of contact.
Coordinate product demonstrations, field tests and customer trials and translate feedback from the field into clear input for engineering and product teams.
Work closely with Tulip Tech's commercial teams in Europe and the United States to support customers that operate or expand across multiple regions.
Maintain a clear overview of accounts, opportunities and commercial activity in HubSpot and represent Tulip Tech at customer meetings, industry events and relevant external activities.
Job requirements
What we are looking for:
3+ years of experience in engineering, technical account management, technical sales, business development or another technical customer-facing environment.
Technical or engineering background with the ability to understand complex products, applications and customer requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build relationships with technical, commercial and operational stakeholders.
Commercial mindset and interest in developing customer relationships, identifying opportunities and contributing directly to revenue growth.
Comfortable discussing technical topics in depth and willing to continuously develop strong expertise in batteries, UAV systems and customer applications.
Proactive and independent working style, comfortable taking ownership of customers and opportunities in a fast-moving organisation.
Fluent in Ukrainian and B2 English, both written and spoken, with willingness to travel regularly within Ukraine and occasionally internationally.
Nice to have
Engineering degree or other technical education in electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace, robotics or a related field.
Experience within UAVs, drones, defense, aerospace, batteries, electronics or another technically complex industry.
Hands-on experience with UAV systems, batteries, electronics, testing or other relevant hardware.
Experience in a role combining engineering or technical expertise with customers, sales or business development.
Experience working with international customers or coordinating accounts across Europe, the United States or other markets.
Experience using HubSpot or another CRM to manage accounts, opportunities and commercial activity.
What we offer
Full-time position based from our Kyiv office, with regular customer visits, field activities and travel within Ukraine.
Competitive compensation based on experience and background.
Direct collaboration with commercial, engineering, product and leadership teams in Ukraine, Netherlands and the United States.
High level of autonomy and responsibility for building important customer relationships and partnerships in the Ukrainian market.
Opportunity to combine technology, engineering and commercial responsibility in one role rather than choosing between a purely technical or purely sales-focused career.
Work in a rapidly growing international environment at the intersection of batteries, UAVs, technology and defense.
Opportunity to contribute to technology that is making a direct impact on Ukraine's security and defense capabilities.
