Own execution across R&D, production, and supply chain at a defence-backed drone battery scale-up. Den Bosch. On-site. Full-time. Let's talk.

Job description

Drones that fly longer change what's possible. Faster inspections. More effective surveillance. Longer-range logistics. But most drone batteries cap out too soon.

Tulip Tech designs and manufactures high-density battery systems that push drone flight time 30 to 100% further than standard technology. Built in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Backed by the Dutch Ministry of Defence. Trusted by leading drone companies including Acecore, Percepto, and DeltaQuad. We are not a software company with a hardware attachment we are engineers who design cells, build packs, run tests, and scale production. Everything under one roof, built to last

Why this role matters

Tulip Tech is in acceleration mode. Multiple projects are running in parallel: R&D, production ramp, commercial expansion. The engineering and manufacturing teams are strong. What we need now is structure.

This PM role owns the execution layer across the entire company. You connect the dots between R&D, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance. You make sure priorities are clear, timelines are visible, and blockers are removed before they cost us time. You work directly with the CTO on what gets built and in what order. When something slips, you already knew it was coming and you had a plan.

This is not a coordination role. You do not manage up and wait. You own outcomes.

What you will achieve

  • Build the project structure Tulip Tech needs to scale: clear plans, visible dependencies, and real accountability across every active work stream

  • Establish a single source of truth for project status so the CTO and leadership team can make decisions without chasing update

  • Drive a "test early" mindset across R&D and production: surface risks early, not late, and reduce the cost of late-stage surprises

  • Own resource and timeline alignment across parallel projects keeping engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain moving in sync

  • Implement and improve PLCM and Jira workflows that add structure without adding friction

  • Translate high-level company priorities into concrete milestones with owners, dates, and decision points

  • Align stakeholders across R&D, Production, Sales, and Finance so that decisions get made and followed through

Job requirements

  • 5+ years in project or program management in a technical environment hardware, manufacturing, deep tech, or engineering-heavy industry

  • A track record of managing multiple parallel projects, not sequential delivery in a stable environment

  • Experience working across engineering and business teams you are comfortable in a room with a mechanical engineer and a sales director at the same time

  • An ownership mindset: you take responsibility for outcomes, not just coordination. When something blocks the team, you remove it

  • Hands-on and pragmatic: you find solutions, not escalation paths

  • Jira and PLM/PLCM experience in an active development environment

  • Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders you can explain a technical delay to a Finance lead without losing them

If you meet most but not all of these, we still encourage you to apply.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a hardware scale-up or manufacturing ramp the R&D-to-production transition is its own discipline

  • Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, or battery and EV technology

  • Experience building a PM function from scratch in a startup or scale-up

  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall hybrid approaches in hardware contexts

Nice to have means not required.
